Breaker kept tripping and I was braced for bad news about the panel. The tech went through it, found it was one circuit being overloaded by a space heater, showed me what was happening and told me I didn't need anything replaced. Paid the diagnostic fee and that was it. He could easily have sold me something and didn't. That's why I'll call them when I actually do need work done.

We had random outlets in the living room stop working while the rest of the house seemed fine. They tracked down the issue instead of just replacing outlets one by one. Turned out to be a hidden wiring fault. Nice to finally have every plug working again.

I recommend Onyx Electric completely. Their team is very professional, courteous, EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE in all ways. Matthew did a EV charging outlet and was completely professional and did it the very next day. It turned out beautiful, as far as a 40 amp plug can look. And was key in avoiding any safety risk. Ruslan came back out to verify that there were no issues when we were having problems with the car charging cord. As expected, their work was flawless and was exactly what the GM recommended specifications called for. It was determined that the dealer supplied charge cord had an internal heat issue that could have caused a bigger problem, but thanks to Matthew and Ruslan their work eliminated any risk of electrical issues in the attached garage which could have ended very badly. A Huge Thank You to Matthew, Ruslan, and everyone at Onyx!!

I was replacing old ceiling lights with newer fixtures but quickly realized the wiring wasn't matching what I expected. Rather than taking chances, I called for help. The installation was completed safely, the fixtures are level, and everything looks much cleaner than my original setup.

Lost the lighting in one of our restrooms on a day we had the building full. Called and they got someone out that afternoon on an emergency call. Diagnosed it, sorted it, and were straight with me about the fee up front so there was no surprise on the invoice. When you run a facility you're not looking for the cheapest electrician, you're looking for one who answers the phone.

Half our switches operated the wrong lights and had for years. Sam sorted all of it out, went through and rejuvenated the panel, put in a smart dimmer, mounted boxes for two Ring cameras and converted the shop lights to LED. Everything does what the switch says it does now, which sounds like a small thing and absolutely is not. Nice to have someone who does the smart home stuff and the actual electrical work.

I contacted Onyx Electric last night to help repair a few outstanding electrical items from our home inspection that needed to be completed by today. Cadillac Lyriq EV charger. Wade installed a home EV charger for our Cadillac Lyriq in New Port Richey. The charger was mounted in the garage near the electrical panel, and he handled the permitted installation. Wade was friendly, knew what he was doing and left the area clean. Glad to finally be able to charge the car at home.
